What was once the crown jewel of American highways is now almost a distant memory. It’s not hard to imagine all the memories made by varies travelers who took road trips across the country on Old Route 66, but the highway doesn’t look like much these days. Whether it’s cutting through the prairies, mountains, or forests, there’s something peaceful about the decaying, old highway. If you’re up for a real adventure you can try to hunt down all of the old pieces of the highway. They’re all disconnected these days, but it’s pretty cool when you stumble upon one of the sections.
