Red Hot Chili Peppers Guitarist Skips Song Solo to Use Phone on Audience
In today’s smartphone age, we’re all guilty of taking our phones out
to snap a quick photo or video at a live concert. And while some
performers encourage it’s use to be the modern version of the lighter,
one artist wasn’t too keen on people using them during his band’s
concert.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been around for ages, and they’ve probably seen it all at their live gigs. However, current guitarist Josh Klinghoffer got fed up with fans standing and filming the band’s performance, he decided to stage a protest in his own way.
So when he was about to do the guitar solo of the band’s hit song
‘Californication’ at a recent gig in Turin, Italy, Klinghoffer instead
stopped playing his ax, whipped out his phone and shot the audience
using the camera.
Good luck convincing them with that.
